Adding assets
Assets in controlla represent real-world items (e.g. domain names, websites, servers, ad campaign accounts, etc). More about assets.
Method 1: Import assets via integrations (recommended)
Controlla imports records from external services and keeps them synchronized. E.g. Webflow websites, DNSimple domain records, DigitalOcean Droplets, DigitalOcean domain records (and many more coming...)
To connect external integrations to your Controlla account navigate to app.controlla.io/integrations and follow the specific instructions for each service.
Method 2: Creating assets manually (alternative method)
IMPORTANT: We recommend this method if there's no integration for the asset types you use.
Step 1: Define a new manual asset type
Create a new asset type in the Asset Type Manager:
Navigate to: Assets > Options Menu (refer to image below) > Asset Types
(Alternative path: User Menu > Settings > Asset Types Manager)
- Add a new asset type:
- Select the "Define Type Manually" option:
- Then complete the fields to define the new type and then click save.
Step 2: Manually add assets of the new type
Once you have defined the asset type(s) you require you can start adding actual assets:
- Navigate to: Workspace > Assets
- Click "Add Asset".
- Complete the fields as required and then click "Save"
